JEAN YOUNG EXNICIOS, AGE 56
And a resident of Mt. Hermon, LA died at 5:15 pm Tuesday September 29, 2009 at Regency hospital in Covington. She was a
native and longtime resident of New Orleans and had been a resident of Mt. Hermon since 2006. Mrs. Exnicios was a former office
employee of Chevron. She enjoyed spending time on the computer and gardening and was an active member of Dave’s Garden,
an online gardening information community.

Sister: Tessie Gioia of Picayune, MS
Uncle: Billy Young of Florida
Also several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents Mathias and Jean Buris Young and a brother Matt Young, Jr.

Stone (Pat) Flannery | | | FLANNERY It is with great sadness that the family of Harriett (Pat) Stone Flannery announces her
passing at the age of 64. She passed away on Monday, January 19, 2009. She was born on March 17, 1944 to Harriett Anna Fiesler
Stone and Harry Adna Stone in Elkins, PA. She held a graduate degree from Loyola University and Charity School of Nursing.
She resided in Metairie, LA and even though she had recently retired due to health issues she loved the practice of nursing.
Pat embraced life to the fullest and those whom she loved friends, family, and her companion and four legged friend, Cody.
She had a passion for learning, was an avid reader, a lover of beautiful things, good food, wine, decorating, and gardening.
She enjoyed music and was accomplished in playing the accordion. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church on St. Charles Ave.
Her faith was important to her and she loved attending the services and her weekly bible study group. It brings her family
great comfort to know the warmth, love, and compassion with which they embraced her. She is survived by two daughters, Michelle
Pierson and spouse Bob, of Baton Rouge, LA and Margaret Clark and spouse Mark, of Kenner, LA; a son, Joseph Flannery and spouse
Angel of Metairie; twelve grandchildren: Chris, Lindsey, Sarah and Caroline Pierson, Brittany, Kaitlyn, Brennan, Tyler, and
Lauren Clark, and Brittanie, Matthew, and Destiny Flannery; two brothers: Robert and Theodore Stone and their families; and
her former husband and dear friend, Joseph Flannery. Visitation will be held at the Kenner Funeral Home of L. A. Muhleisen
and Son, 2607 Williams Blvd. on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Zion
Lutheran Church, 1924 St. Charles Ave., New Orleans on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 11:00 a.m., the Rev. Craig Rinker, Officiant.

Joseph C. Gioia Sr. of Slidell entered eternal rest on Aug. 2, 2008, at the age of 78. He is survived by his devoted wife
of 60 years, Eleanor Barrios Gioia. He was the father of Adeline Walsh, Linda Hughes, Joseph Gioia Jr., Michael Gioia Sr.,
Dominick Gioia Sr. and Penny Erato; brother of Mary Galland, Phillip Gioia and Catherine Russo; and son of the late Carlo
J. Gioia and Lena Maltese Gioia. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews
and other relatives. Gioia was a resident of St. Bernard Parish until August 2005. The family would like to extend a special
thanks to Hospice Care of Slidell. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at Honaker Funeral

Hayden Christopher Calamari CALAMARI Baby Hayden Christopher Calamari passed away on Monday, October 15, 2007 at
the age of 18 months. He was the beloved son of Stacey Teal Calamari and Alan A. Calamari Jr. Loving brother of Allie Elizabeth
Calamari. Cherished grandson of Alan & Rosemary Calamari, Theodore Teal and the late Cynthia Teal. Treasured great-grandson
of Rose Gasper and the late Lorraine & Norman Cantrell. Hayden is also survived and fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles
and cousins. So small, so sweet, so soon. Private services were held on Monday, October 22nd at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral

Orleans, who died at 8:15 a.m. Jan. 26, 1999.

She was the daughter of Agnes Roger Levron; and sister of David, Arnold,
Ernest Jr. and Ronald Levron, and Denise Woods.

Claude Bernard Riche RICHE Claude Bernard Riche, longtime proprietor and owner of Bradley's Pharmacy in St. Bernard, LA,
passed away on Monday, April 9, 2007 at the age of 73. He was the beloved husband of the late Kay Lynn Connor Riche. Loving
father of Stephen G. Riche, Thomas P. Riche and Christopher C. Riche. Son of the late Olivia Roques Riche and Desire Julian
""Bernard'' Riche. Brother of Elwood R. Riche, Calvin P. Riche, Eloise R. Vidal and the late Cedric F. Riche, Roy
E. Riche and Lloyd A. Riche. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Mr. Riche completed
St. Cecilia Grammar School, was a graduate of Jesuit High School and Loyola School of Pharmacy. He also proudly served his
country in Korea as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, M.S.C. He was an accomplished musician, a self-taught pianist and composer,
and member of ASCAP. Though there were many obstacles, Mr. Riche reopened the pharmacy following Hurricane Katrina. His love
for his family and his community was deeper and far greater than the number of years he was with us. His courage, perseverance
and his ability to overcome incredible odds was an inspiration and has led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an

Meraux crash leaves 2 dead

St. Bernard bureau
Two people were killed in a crash Tuesday night in Meraux, State Police said.
State Police said Terell Santiago, 45, of Violet, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado pickup west on St. Bernard Highway
near Margaret Lane when he crossed the center line into eastbound traffic.
Santiago's pickup struck a Ford Explorer driven east by Vernetia Gaspard, 35, of New Iberia, the State Police said.
Santiago and Gaspard died at the scene of the 6:05 p.m. crash.
A passenger in Gaspard's vehicle, Juan Gaspard, 41, also of New Iberia, was taken to the Charity Hospital Trauma Unit
in Elmwood with moderate injuries.
Santiago was not wearing a seat belt, investigators said. Both Gaspards were wearing a seat belt.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Toxicology test results are pending, State Police said. )

Salvador Roy Ficarra (Sal) passed away in his sleep at his Sister's home in Slidell, LA, early in the morning of Friday,
October 6, 2006. He was only 31 years old. Sal is the beloved son of Reba Adams and Rickie Ficarra. Loving brother of Rachael
Ficarra and Rebecca Ficarra (Becky). Loving and caring father of three children with Danielle Fox: Ricky Fox (age 12), David
Ficarra (age 9) and Jordan Ficarra (age 5); as well as two children with Angel Maucele: Alexandra Ficarra (age 2) and Matthew
Ficarra (age 1). A long time resident of St. Bernard Parish, St. Tammany Parish and Jefferson Parish. Sal is also survived
