Took home test on May 1st...
First dr's appt was on May 3rd... I weighed 117lbs. (only 2 lbs more than my last appt) She calculated me as being 9 weeks pregnant, due Dec 9th, tried to find the heartbeat, no luck. :(
Received first item of maternity clothing as a gift from my sister Angel for Mother's Day. Thanks Aunt Angel!
First ultrasound done on May 11th... Got to see lil' peanut's heartbeat!!! That made everything so real, it was breathtaking! Found out that I'm only 7 weeks along, due Dec 27th.
We chose names on May 17th, I just can't share them, I don't want anyone taking these! LOL.
Friday, May 27th... our lil' peanut received it's first gift! Nanny Tam bought an oval pail filled with baby care and bath products! Thanks Nanny Tam!
May 31st, received more gifts from Nanny Tam, she got lil' peanut a pack of receiving blankets and a little hooded towel, so adorable! Thanks again!
June 2nd, went to the doctor, we couldn't hear the heartbeat yet. :( Hopefully next time! I gained 8lbs since my last visit. I know the baby isn't growing that much yet, lol! She said smaller people tend to show alot earlier. Then again, I haven't stopped eating yet, so I could just be getting fat, lol.
June 8th, I figured out that I AM craving something! I'm craving salt! But only in the afternoons, yep, I'm a weirdo, hehe!
July 1st, we heard the heartbeat for the first time!!! You can listen too, see the link above, hehe! I gained 4 lbs since my last visit (4 weeks ago). So not tooooo bad, lol.
Our next ultrasound is on Friday, July 22nd. We're hoping to find out the sex of lil' Peanut! :)
Went for the ultrasound today and Lil' Peanut weighs 7oz, hehe! So far it's a girl! But they can't guarantee of course! We're going to go take the 3D ultrasound when I'm about 25 weeks. The calculations show that I'm 17weeks and 6days insted of 17w3d, so that would make me due on Christmas Eve. But they said it could change daily, so we just leave it as is and as long as we stay in the ballpark range, we're good! :) As long as Peanut's healthy, that's fine by me! We officially asked CP to be the Godfather tonight, he accepted. Everything is becoming so real now, it's so exciting!
On July 22nd, I felt a fluttering in my belly, I figured out that this is the baby moving! I have been feeling it for a week or two and didn't realize it!
July 30th... Uncle Faud, Uncle Brian, Uncle Rudy and Uncle CP came by to sheetrock your room. Me and Aunt Tam cooked for everyone. Thanks for all of the help everyone!
August 5th... Nanny Tam and Uncle Ru bought you a pack of wipes and newborn diapers! And Ms. Lorraine brought you lots and lots of girly clothes! (She has a strong feeling you're a girl, hehe) Thanks again ladies!
August 10th... haven't felt any movement since July 22nd, but I did drink ALOT of water that day! I've been to the doctor since and we heard the heartbeat, so I'm not alarmed. :)
August 13th... MawMaw got you a pack of wipes and a pack of newborn diapers! Thanks MawMaw, you don't know how much every little bit helps! :)
We're going to have another ultrasound on Aug 19th to confirm the sex of the baby.
IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!!
We had to evacuate for Hurricane Katrina on Aug 27th, since it did hit and destroy our home, we missed our 3D ultrasound appt. :( Last dr's appt was on Aug 5th.
Finally got to see the doctor on Oct 5th! I weigh 153lbs and baby's heartbeat sounded fine. Went to get Rhogam shot and bloodwork done at the hospital on Oct 6th.
We were able to locate the institute that we had paid for the 3D ultrasound and reschedule it. We had it done on Oct 6th also.
Oct 23rd - The first time I saw my belly moving, it was amazing! All I could do was stare and smile. :)
Oct 25th - Follow up visit with doctor, I now weigh 162lbs, so I've gained 47lbs so far, everyone says it's all belly, but maybe they're just being nice, lol. My last ultrasound is scheduled for Friday, Oct 28th, get to see our Phoebs again! :)
Oct 28th - We went for our last ultrasound today and we got to see Phoebs! We'd share the pictures, but we can't even make them out, lol. However, we did find out that our little one weighs approximately 4lbs!
Nov 8th - Dr's appt, I now weigh 164lbs. I've been experiencing charlie horses in my calves every morning, the doc said to try drinking more water. The baby's hearbeat was weak, but the rate was good. Doc said it sounds weak because of the baby's position with moving and all. So all is fine!
